PPI4K BLOCK SIGNALLING KATO DC POINTS POSITION INDICATOR.
KATO Points position indicator adapted for use with Kato points motors.
8-channel. Requires a 12V DC supply.
Monitors the brief positive operating voltage across points motors when they are switched
Lights a corresponding led on a control panel to show the last operation of each set of points
Saves all settings automatically to memory when the power is switched off
Monitors up to 8 sets of points
Adjustable led brightness
No resistors are required simplifying wiring
Opto-isolated inputs accept voltages from +5V to +60V
The Points Position Indicator (PPI) monitors the brief switching coils of a points motor,
and displays the last operation using coloured leds which can be mounted on a route mimic.
This PPI is designed for operation on systems where the switching of the points direction is achieved by swapping the polarity of the feed to the coil.
The controller is designed for use with a 12V DC plug-top type power supply.
The current consumption is approximately 0.05A (50mA) with all the panel leds lit, and a power supply rated at 0.25A to 1A is recommended.
